My latest mini-documentary endeavour. This time with Diplo. Filmed on a still digital camera at Leandro HBL’s house in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro. Leandro and Wes were screening the almost finished cut of “Favela on Blast” (yes, it DOES exist….I saw a big chunk of it and it’s very cool) for Sany Pitbull and Adriana Pittigliani.

Yes, as we’ve long suspected, the US military is researching how to use sound to incapacitate, kill or manipulate them. Or just shoo away pesky birds, homeless people or pirates off the coast of Somalia (obviously, that’s not working so well).
Reggie Watts: Out Of Control from Jakob Lodwick on Vimeo. Mr. Reggie Watts….he probably doesn’t even remember me, but I remember him. Nor do I know where he is now….wherever he is, he’s doing some cool shit. Part of the “old” school soul funk hip hop crew in Seattle back in the day (Jamabalaya, Sharkskins and alla dem), I met him at a house party where he did his first ever solo performance in the basement for about 10 people. It was killer. Fortunately, he’s still doing his thing. The above clip shows him creating a new track on the fly by sampling himself singing and looping all the instruments, singing on top and tweaking FX in realtime.
Below is Zeitghost a sort of (re)mixtape fusing video, music, digital production. Reggie is our host for the ride.
